On Monday, November 3rd and Tues. November 4th, this year for the first
time, AAO members along with other Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) Allied
Groups -- administrators, nurses, physicians, physiotherapists, etc. -- are
being offered free "Exhibits' Viewing Passes" at the 2003 annual convention.

Any AAO member, individual or institutional, who would like to view the
exhibits may do so this year without a need to register as a delegate for
the OHA Convention. Simply mention your connection with the
"Health/Hospital Archivists allied group" at the delegate registration
counter to receive a no-charge exhibits' pass. This badge is necessary to
access the Exhibits floor, located on the mezzanine level of the Metro
Toronto Convention Centre.

The Exhibits' floor will be open on Monday, Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
and on Tuesday, Nov. 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., featuring close to 300
exhibitors. A number of new and exciting attractions will include a
Technology Theatre dedicated to technology company exhibitors showcasing
their products and services through live presentations. Other attractions
such as demonstrations for a healthy lifestyle will be offered at a
Wellness Demonstration Area.

Details for the HAIG session, as notified earlier by listserv and in "Off
the Record," are as follows:

HAIG will be meeting on November 4th in Toronto at the Ontario Hospital
Association Convention, to discuss the importance of preserving cultural
work done by the patients of healthcare and other client-focused
institutions.

Please Note: all AAO members are welcome. As a part of the OHA's generous
co-sponsorship of HAIG's meeting, once again you will not need to register
for the Convention to attend just the HAIG session. Added this year is
complimentary viewing of the Exhibits' floor as well.

Since it's only 4 days after Hallowe'en, costumes are optional.
