I just received my copy and after reading the preliminaries I went
directly to a listing for Karl Bædeker.  I have used the Handbook for
Travelers (many editions) throughout "Twain's Geography" and was curious
about any correspondence between Alan Gribben's listing and my own.
There is much disparity between publishing dates, but then the Handbooks
went through many editions and I have been limited to on-line
availability.  Anyway, Bravo on this achievement.  It calls for some
more digging on my part.  The guidebooks serve as control observations
against Twain's.
