Dear Mr. Lennes,

    I recommend "Lighting Out for the Territory" highly. Shelley's not only
one of the best Twain scholars alive right now; she's a very good writer, too.
What I liked best about it was how she gets into the creation of celebrity
culture long before the invention of television.
    Also read "Was Huck Black?"
