Subject: Client Survey of Archives Canada / CAIN Users
The Library and Archives Canada (LAC) is conducting an evaluation of
Archives Canada, which is an online gateway for accessing material held
in
some 800 archives across Canada. Prior to October 2003, Archives Canada
was known as CAIN or Canadian Archival Information Network. It was
developed by the Canadian Council of Archives (CCA), working with its
provincial and territorial members. Archives Canada is now administered
by
the CCA, with the financial assistance of the Department of Canadian
Heritage and LAC.
The evaluation involves a survey on client awareness and use of the
Archives Canada / CAIN website. Accordingly, the LAC is using selected
Listserves to distribute the survey.
Whether you have visited the Archives Canada website or not, please
consider completing the survey. Since this survey is addressed to a
limited number of Listserves, your response is important to us.
The survey is expected to take you about 10 minutes. The results of the
survey will be held confidential, and will not be cross-tabulated in any
way that would allow individuals to be identified.
The survey will be conducted electronically and can be accessed from the
