It is my understanding that very few (5?) copies of Cornout's "Recherches 
sur les principes mathematiques de la theorie des richesses" (Researches 
into the Mathematical Principles of the Theory of Wealth) were published 
originally.  Something relating to a very negative response from his peers. 
Does anyone know details, or a citation, ideally on the web?
