Regarding the Knight material: 
 
Ah, but those are articles, not books! 
 
Plus, they have much more to do with Knight's antipathy towards religion 
and classical philosophy than the Middle Ages per se.   
 
Come to think of it, judging from his shallow caricatures of things 
medieval, it is probably just as well he didn't write that book after all. 
Memorable  
quotations aside, a whole book of such stuff would have been hard to take.
