A colleague sent me the following note: "I am reading a review of 
Pigou's `Industrial Fluctuations.' The review appeared in 1927 in the 
Journal of the Royal Statistical Society and is signed with the initials 
H.W.M. The table of contents provides no information about the reviewer 
beyond his [unlikely to be her] initials. I was wondering if you might 
have an idea of who the person behind these initials may be."

I don't know the answer -- might any list member know?
