Hi Frank,

I'm quite interested in your research. I do extensive genealogy and would like to read and review your findings and the sources of your remark as to earlier research. Sam often referred to his father being a FFV, but as you know, dates, times, and places lack supporting evidence, not to mention bad or creative memories, and the early pioneering spirit like SLC's parents. With interest, I look forward to your data.

Regards,

Warren Brown

PS - I'm certain many of us are interested, even though I didn't see any posts.

'I'm descended from Adam and Eve on my mothers side and Satan on my father's." "The family tree is the hangman's tree." Most of the colorful relations are removed from research.

Subject: Sam Clemens genealogy

I am new to this list. Forgive me if this is not appropriate to the focus

of this list.

My second great grandmother was a first cousin to Sam Clemens. In my

genealogical research I have found data that links Sam Clemens to an

ancestory originating, on this continent, in Haverhill, MA. This runs

counter to earlier research linking him to descendents of the ealiest

settlers in Jamestown, VA. I wrote an article, supporting this family

ancestry of SLC, published in The Essex Genealogist (Essex County, MA). If

it is of interest to members of this list, I would like to share that data

with the list, as well as other genealogical data with other cousins of SLC.

Thanks,

Frank Emerson
