I am answering this off the top of my head, meaning according to my somewhat
deficient middle-aged memory, since I am at home and the pertinent info is
at my office.  Nevertheless. . .

Correct me if I am wrong but I think Paine's grandson is still alive in
Maine and has a massive archive of material there.  Last I heard ( a couple
of years back) he was still working on a definitive biography of his
grandfather.  Am I wrong to say that his name is Bigelow Cushman?  Of course
the folks at Berkeley can correct me on these matters.

I have often wondered what treasures he might have in his possession.
Surely it includes some things that remain unarchived.  I had correspondence
with him briefly a few years back and know that he does respond to letters.
