Let me begin with an apology -- I have a desperate need to find
something out about Mark Twain but I have not followed the list's
suggestion of first going to the library as it's not accessible today
and I can't wait until Friday.  And I have clicked through every
recommended website with no success.

My query is this:  There was a popular female humorist who was friends
with Clemens -- I believe she lived for a time in Colorado Springs, as
her former home was converted into a restaurant.  I am looking for the
name of this woman.
