Thanks to those who provided the date of T.E. Gregory's death.  As a couple 
pointed out, looking in the Dictionary of National Biography makes great 
sense.  Unfortunately, Gregory was a young man when my library's edition of 
the Dictionary was published.  The information provided is greatly 
appreciated.
