It is a program that integrates quality daily physical activity into the
classroom for children in grades K - 8. It is the same program that is
running in Ontario schools. We implemented it in 5 schools in our
school district and it has grown in popularity. We have the potential
of adding 16 new schools this upcoming school year. Yes, UNB did fund
us for some Treasure Boxes and was supposed to sent the cheque to me
here in Gander, NL but there has been some confusion.

It might be an idea to look at the Circle of Health as a tool for
evaluating whether or not you are buidling community capacity via the
strategies developed. This is avaialble through PEI. We use it here
in

this province and have found it to be a great tool.

Hello colleagues,

I am working on a project with the Atlantic Building a Better Tomorrow
Initiative. We have developed and pilot tested a workshop to help
primary health care providers build their skills and knowledge for
working with communities (the main topics in the workshop are
partnerships, accessing community resources, and community capacity
building). I'm looking for multi-media teaching tools that we can
incorporate into the workshop (e.g., videos, CDs, anything else fun
and
creative!) Does anyone have any suggestions? I would appreciate
benefiting from all the knowledge that's out there!

Many thanks,
Cari Patterson
