John Womack asks: Can anyone tell me when the term "factor(s) of production"  
came into use in economics, and who introduced it?  
  
  
Henry George, 1879, Progress and Poverty uses the term.  I do not know if he  
was the first; but J.S. Mill, 1848, does not.
