I wonder whether there exist ready-made compilations of the various
definitions of political economy/economics given by economists, and
possibly also some study of the implications of the various viewpoints,
presuppositions etc. on which these definitions are based. Can anyone
provide references?

Thank you very much.

(I've seen in Econlit the titles a couple of pieces in Economisch en
Sociaal Tijdschrift, February and June 1974, but unfortunately I cannot
read them as they are in Dutch. There are also a few articles on gender and
the definition of economics, and an article by Smirnov, "Definitions of the
Subject Matter of Political Economy", in Smirnov, Golosov, and Maximova,
ed. The Teaching of Political Economy: A Critique of Non- Marxian
Theories, Chicago 1984, which I haven't read yet. But that's about all I've
found so far).
