                        CALL FOR PAPERS 
 
 
The Midwest Seminar in the History of Early Modern Philosophy is an 
informal group, formed to foster interaction among scholars of seventeenth 
and eighteenth century philosophy. 
 
This is a call for papers for our next meeting, Saturday and Sunday, March 
13-14, 1999, at the Francke Institute for the Humanities at the University 
of Chicago. Submissions are invited for papers on any aspect of the 
philosophy of the early modern period (roughly seventeenth and eighteenth 
centuries). 
 
Please submit abstracts of two pages or fewer by January 4, 1999 to:
