HES 2005 Conference - Call for Papers 
 
HES Conference 24-27 June 2005 
 
The thirty-second annual meeting of the History of Economics Society 
will be held 24-27 June 2005 at the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, 
WA. All persons wishing to present a paper or organize a complete 
session should submit an abstract of 200 words or less for a paper or 
an abstract of 400 words or less for a complete session by February 15, 
2005 to President-Elect D. Wade Hands. 
 
Complete session proposals should include the names of up to four 
participants - including paper titles and abstracts - and indicate how 
the various papers relate to the overall session theme. 
 
Proposals on all aspects of the History of Economic Thought and 
Methodology are invited. Proposals should be submitted on the 
Paper/Session Proposal forms on the conference website:

Once again, the History of Economics Society has agreed to sponsor 
Young Scholars Sessions during the conference. These sessions are 
designed to support and highlight research in the History of Economics, 
broadly defined, by PhD candidates and scholars who have obtained their 
PhDs within the last two years. To submit a Young Scholars paper, use 
the Young Scholars link (under Call for Papers) on the conference 
website by February 15th. 
 
Those chosen for the Young Scholars program sessions will receive free 
registration and conference dinner/banquet ticket and a year's 
membership of the Society, which includes the society's Journal for the 
History of Economic Thought. Young Scholars may apply for additional 
funding to cover their accommodation costs at the conference by 
submitting their full papers for consideration to this year's President 
of the Society, Professor Mary S. Morgan* Full papers should be 
submitted by April 15th and those chosen for this additional award will 
be notified by May 15th. Eligibility: PhD candidates and those within 2 
years of receipt of PhD, and not previously chosen as a Young Scholar 
by the History of Economics Society
