We are very pleased to announce (subject to final Trustees? approval) 
the appointment of Dr. Bruce J. Caldwell, presently Rosenthal Excellence 
Professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, to the Duke 
University faculty as of July 1, 2008 as Research Professor of 
Economics. He will also become the first Director of the new Duke Center 
for the History of Political Economy.

As final details concerning the Center and its programs and activities 
take shape, Director Caldwell will post that information to this HES-List.
