>From looking at King's article it would appear that Lorie Tarshis described the
"standard" AS curve in his 1947 introductory textbook and that Dudley Dillard did so also
in 1948.  It would appear that perhaps the first person to actually draw the figure with
the usual varying elasticity may have been Sidney Weintraub in his 1951 _Income and
Employment Analysis_, New York: Pitman.  King considers this version to be muddled, but
Keynes himself was before all of these in at least describing such a "beast."
