N.B. I am posting this on behalf of the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and
Museum.--K.B.
Friends of the Mark Twain Museum,
There is a new type of grant. For these, qualified projects are accepted,
then they are awarded on the basis of voting on line! We have been accepted
for a Tourism Cares grant to assist with restoration of the Becky Thatcher
House. Please log in to
http://www.tourismcares.org/save-our-sites/vote-for-a-site and vote for the
Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum. This can be done once a day from now
through December 3.
We are also in the running for a much larger grant of $250,000 for the Becky
Thatcher House through Pepsi. As soon as we have voting details we will
forward them for this second grant.
Thank you for your assistance in helping secure these grants.
Please forward this message to your friends, post on Facebook, or any way
you can help spread the word.
Sincerely,
Henry Sweets, Curator
