Indeed, the link failure was for the same reason: garbage characters inserted right into the link!! Since the link spans two lines (at least with the line length setting I use), the crazy equal sign inserted at the end of each line (so the NSA can tell where the lines end) are also included in the link, making it ineffective (another NSA ploy, no doubt).   

Here's how to make it work:
do not click on the link, but carefully copy it then paste it into your browser address window.  Then carefully highlight and delete the equal sign and spaces (so in this case, the word "color" comes back together!).  Then ask the browser to get the website...it should work fine.
