WORKSHOP ON MICHEL CALLON (ED.): "THE LAWS OF THE MARKET", 1998 BLACKWELL

MODERATED BY MICHEL CALLON & BRUNO LATOUR
TUESDAY, MARCH 16, 1999
LONDON SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS (ROOM VAR)

MORE INFORMATION <[log in to unmask]> OR <[log in to unmask]>

The Department of Information System at the London School of Economics
organizes a small discussion workshop around the book edited by Michel
Callon: The Laws of the Market, 1998 Blackwell, which contains
contributions that focus on the social explanations of economics broadly
conceived.

The workshop will be held from 10 30 am to 5 pm, LSE, room VAR (Old
Building-main entrance Portugal Street), the 16th of March 1999.

The meeting will be moderated by Bruno Latour, visiting professor at the
LSE and colleague of Michel Callon in Paris.

If you are interested in attending the workshop please contact Vincent
Lepinay <[log in to unmask]> and if you want to offer commentaries on
specific chapters of the book, please mention which ones. To maintain the
workshop format the audience is limited to 25 or 30 scholars. There
will be no public lecture. Michel Callon will simply summarize his
introduction to the book, then we will hear the discussants, then the
authors present (Peter Miller will be there for sure) will answer the
comments, and we will have general discussion.

Queries concerning this workshop should be directed to either Vincent
Lepinay <[log in to unmask]> or Bruno Latour <[log in to unmask]>.
