An interesting aside on the subject of citations. Deborah Redman, in the 
chapter on Adam Smith in her book THE RISE OF POLITICAL ECONOMY AS A 
SCIENCE writes: "Not mentioning another writer in a publication was often 
a sign that the author of the publication did not care for the neglected 
author's work." (252, n.77)
