To address the increasing volume of mass-mailings sent out by
virus-infected systems world-wide on the Internet, CNS's anti-virus
gateway will be configured to silently discard any virus-infected email
messages it detects. This is a change from the current behaviour which is
to remove the virus-infected attachment only, but pass the remainder of
the message on for delivery. As a result, there is a very small chance
that legitimate messages sent from certain virus-infected systems may also
be discarded.
This change will occur as of June 16th.
