The History of Economics Society is accepting
nominations for its annual prize for the Joseph
Dorfman Best Dissertation Award. The winner will
receive a stipend of $500 plus travel expenses up
to $500 to attend the presentation at the HES

All dissertations in the history of economic
thought and methodology in English completed
during the previous academic year (September 2007
to August 2008) are eligible. To nominate a
dissertation, contact the 2008-089 chair of the
committee, Robert W. Dimand, at the address below
by December 31, 2008. Please also send a copy of
the dissertation (pdf preferred).
