The intended "value" was just to note that the existence of enthusiastic and  
persistent Georgists has an extended history.

This is more than a little unfair to F and C. To be sure, Foster was not  
interested in nuances of economic theory. However he consistently favored  
price stabilization, and went so far as to advocate compulsory saving as an  
anti-inflationary measure early in World War II [NY Times, May 9, 1941].
