Roy Weintraub wrote in an encyclopedia article that the term "neoclassical" 
was first used by Veblen.  He told me he got the information from Warren 
Samuels but Warren doesn't remember where Veblen first used it.  Does 
anyone 
know if it is correct that the term "neoclassical came from Veblen, and if 
so where, and if not where did it come from?  Also,  does anyone know when 
the term "classical" was first used.
