I had not meant to send my reply (below) out to the entire list, but why not?
Dennis has laid out a challenge to write an article. That could be done by any
number of us on this list.

But, hasn't it, as I suggest, "been done"? I believe my first intellectual
exposure to it was William Ryan's "Blaming the Victim" written in the 1970's.
Then Ron Labonte's work, more specific to health. Followed by many others over
the last few decades.

The information is there, for all who want to read and understand. The lack of
action and transformation is part of my "despair" and, I'm sure, that of
others. Critical approaches to Health Promotion were and are made explicit in
the Health Promotion program at U of Toronto, and other programs, I'm sure. We
even now have a Critical Public Health journal which publishes valuable work.
We have examples of people doing "good work."

But, those in positions of power do not have to respond to our articles as
much as they have to respond to others who have more immediate ways of being
persuasive.

So, if you want to write an article, then let's write an article.
