The History of Economics Society welcomes nominations for the Society's 
2000 Best Article Competition.  The award will be presented at the 2001 
meeting of the Society to be held at Wake Forest University, 
Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA.  Any article on the history of 
economic thought published in 2000 is eligible.  For detailed 
information about the competition, including past winners, see the 
Society's webpage (http://www.eh.net/HE/HisEcSoc/).  We ask that 
nominators limit themselves to one nomination only.  To submit a 
nomination, please send 3 hard copies of the paper before 1 January
