=================== HES POSTING ========================

Tony Aspromourgos wrote the article on this in Cambridge Journal of
Economics.
There is an entry in the New Palgrave by Tony entitled simply
'neoclassical'
that summarizes the evidence and probably gives the exact cite of his
article.
Peter Groenewegen may have unearthed the origins of 'classical.'
Supposedly
Marx coined the term Classical Political Economy, and identified the
qualifications for membership. Marx contrasted CPE with 'vulgar economics'
the
key characteristic of which was adherence to a supply and demand theory of
value.
