A colleague of mine in grad school (Bob King, I believe) once suggested  
that chess was a good representation of feudalism, Monopoly of  
capitalism, and the short-lived board game "Class Struggle" created by  
Edward Nell and Bertell Ollman, of course, a good primer on socialism  
(and capitalism? I never have played it--anyone have a copy?).
