Luigino Bruni asks: 'why "wealth" of nations, and not "welfare" or "happiness" of the
nations?' It may be worth noting that in the Theory of Moral Sentiments Smith insisted
repeatedly that wealth does not lead to happiness. So the two were not interchangeable.
