HES Workshop To Promote The Teaching Of The History Of Economics
Victoria University (University of Toronto)
26 - 27 June 2004

The History of Economics Society (HES) is once again offering a workshop to
promote the undergraduate teaching of the history of economics. Aimed at
those who might consider teaching (or who currently teach) the history of
economic thought, the workshop will highlight the best practices and
practitioners in the field, providing information and resources that will
make it much easier to offer a high-quality (content and pedagogy) course,
or to update an existing course. Ideas and teaching techniques from the
workshop can also be applied elsewhere in the undergraduate curriculum. All
faculty are welcome, but we especially encourage those at liberal arts
colleges to attend. The workshop will be held at Victoria University (on
the University of Toronto campus in downtown Toronto) from late Saturday
afternoon, June 26 - late Sunday afternoon, June 27, 2004, in conjunction
with the regular HES Annual Conference. Details will be posted on the HES
website (http://www.eh.net/HE/HisEcSoc/) as they become available. Contact
Avi J. Cohen ([log in to unmask]) with questions.

Please forward this note to other appropriate lists or to colleagues who
may be interested.
