INEM will sponsor two sessions at the next ASSA meetings on topics that relate to 
methodological and philosophical issues in economics, broadly conceived. Paper 
proposals should be accompanied by an abstract of some 200 words. Proposals for full 
sessions of 3-4 papers will be particularly welcome due to coherence considerations. 
The INEM sessions should serve as showcases of innovative economic methodology, 
potentially attended by many regular economists as well as specialists in the field 
of methodology. Thus papers of high quality on topics of interest both to practicing 
economists and to economic methodologists will be preferred. It would also be 
desirable to have the international character of INEM represented by the sessions.
