The Mission
To find a corporate leader to manage and preserve information critical to
effective, efficient and accountable government and to ensure public access
to Ontario's collective memory.
The Role
As the senior executive responsible for exercising authority for the
administration of the Archives Act, will you identify, preserve and provide
access to the official, permanent record of the Ontario Government and
encourage public awareness/use of Ontario's documentary heritage. Critical
to your success will be the capability to provide advice/expertise to senior
government officials in addressing key archival issues in electronic records
systems.
The Candidate
You have a proven record of identifying strategies, priorities and
directions for a large, technologically advanced and diverse organization
demonstrating a commitment to optimum service. A thorough understanding of
archival and information management concepts and programs, the intent and
application of the Archives Act and Freedom of Information and Protection of
Privacy Act and an excellent knowledge of corporate policy, standards and
innovative approaches to information management are essential.
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
