HES: ANN--HES/ASSA New Orleans

This year's annual ASSA meeting in New Orleans is bracketed by two  
popular college football games. The Sugar Bowl is at 7.00pm on  
Tuesday, January 1st, 2008 (so most
Sugar Bowl fans will have left New Orleans before the ASSA  
conventioneers arrive).

The National Championship Game, however, is on Monday, January 7,  
2008 (at 7.00pm).   Fans attending that game are likely to arrive  
during the ASSA meetings,
and to compete for hotel rooms and restaurants.

Book early.

The ASSA has moved the last session of the meetings up 1/2 hour, so  
that it ends at 2.30 rather than 3.00, this to help avoid the  
expected travel crush on Sunday afternoon.
