SALARY: $35,023 with annual step progression to maximum of $44,749

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Chief Archivist, and in accordance with the
archival principles and institutional policies and procedures: answers
basic reference inquiries; serves in regular rotation of the Reference
Desk; accessions incoming records; retrieves and reshelves library and
archival holdings; maintains an inventory of archival supplies and
equipment; cleans audio-visual/reprographic equipment; and performs
other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Education: Archives or Records Management practices certificate from an
accredited community college program or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
Experience: One year of working experience in a recognized archives.
Other: Basic knowledge of archival and records management principles and
practices; good oral and written communication skills; ability to learn
procedures and apply them to tasks assigned; ability to work quickly
and accurately with little daily supervision; willingness to accept
direction; willingness to perform work that may occasionally be tedious;
customer service oriented. Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite;
knowledge of DBTEXTWORKS/INMAGIC and other application software
desirable; knowledge of HTML and Encoded Archival Description
desirable; ability to use equipment in the archives (i.e.,
Microfilm/fiche reader/printers, hygrothermograph).
