There has been some work done on the Virginia public choice school,
which, from UVA to VA Tech to George Mason constituted a community in
both intellectual and physical senses. A series of papers on this topic
were published in the American Journal of Economics and Sociology and
also appeared as a stand-alone volume published by Blackwell (all of
this through the good offices of AJES editor, Larry Moss).
