A panel on the history of theory and practice of central banking in small and/or  
developing countries is being organized for the annual conference of the  
History of Economics Society (June 8-11, 2007, at George Mason University,  
Fairfax VA.  http://www.historyofeconomics.org/)  
  
The panel will deal with topics such as differences between central banking in  
developed and developing countries throughout the twentieth century; the  
relationship between theory and practice of central banking; import and  
reception of knowledge regarding central banking in small and developing  
countries.  
  
Other related topics will also be considered.
