Randy,

Welcome to the Forum.

"The Case of Rev. Dr. Ament, Missionary" was left unpublished so it is
not likely to be available online. I don't think it is available in print
yet,
either. Twain set the essay aside after Ament clarified that the "thirteen
times extra" indemnity collected by the missionaries was really "one-third
extra." Twain then wrote and published "To My Missionary Critics"
instead.

There are abstracts of the papers presented at Elmira in the program
available online at

ams/twain_center/05conference_sched.pdf

BTW, I was flattered to see that the people who run the English program
at the Nanjing University of Science and Technology think William Dean
Howells and I are the only people whose writings about Mark Twain are
worth reading:

That is, I was flattered until I noticed that ClassicNotes is their only
source on Richard Wright's works. :-)
