Hi all,

I wonder if any of you could point me to a useful resource on the effective use of or development of work-sharing websites that isn't an ad for a particular product?

I've been asked to to help develop information policy for a new website to be used by an Ontario group of financial services professionals. The website provides the opportunity to co-develop documents and ask/help each other in their work through a discussion forum, public & private messaging, and a more formal public co-working space. There's a risk of the entire site becoming very messy without strict requirements for the use of each of these services. There will be a part-time administrator hired when the site is complete, but currently we're trying to establish the protocol that this administrator will follow to manage the information added to the site by future members.

Similar websites are, just as this Ontario site is, members-only for security purposes. I can't even find another site's user manual online, so I've had to submit requests and I'm still waiting for answers. I thought I'd try this list in case anyone has worked on anything similar.

Thanks everybody! Have a good week!
Clay
