The Mark Twain Circle plans to offer two sessions at the 2009 MLA Annual
Convention (December 27-30, 2009; Philadelphia). The following Calls
for Papers for those sessions will appear in the next MLA Newsletter:

"Mark Twain in the New Millenium." Papers on Twain's reputation and/or
the relevance of his works at the 100th anniversary of his death.
Abstracts by 15 Mar; James Leonard ([log in to unmask]).

"Open Topic." Abstracts by 15 Mar; James Leonard
([log in to unmask]).

However, you needn't wait for the newsletter to appear. I'm open for
abstract-receiving business at any time. It's a once-in-an-annum
opportunity. --Jim Leonard
