When books were a new phenomenon there was a
saying, " Quod non est in libris non est in mundum".
Now that the web is a new phenomenon there should
be a saying, "What cannot be Googled or found in
Wikipedia in not in the information environment.
The vast and unmanageable amount of current
information on the web keeps us in the present,
just keeping up with today. One wonders what
the consequences of this medium imposed
present mindedness will do to what we call
knowledge of all kinds, and not just in the field
of economics.
