I haven't followed the line of research enough to judge the merits of
Rowley's claims, but do want to praise the kind of history of
economic thought that Rowley is engaged in: setting the record
straight on who deserves credit.

The benefits of setting the record straight are both in terms of
justice and efficiency. The justice part is clear, the efficiency
part may be less so.

Many of those who labor to advance economics may be unappreciated in
their time, and may be tempted to give up. The knowledge that there
are intrepid souls (us) dedicated to eventually setting the record
straight, may buoy their spirits sufficiently to keep them at their task.
