Mr. Holbrook,
Thank you much for the many times you have made so many people happy with your Twain impersonation.
Now, like Twain, you have lost your beloved wife, and face life alone. Nothing mortals can say will stop the pain, but please keep in mind the great happiness Dixie brought to others and that you too have done.
Thank you, and thank her. You both gave a lot to all of us.

Cindy, Rick, Susan, Richard and all those who have so eloquently noted
Dixie Carter's passing,
If any and all would like to share additional messages, thoughts,
memories or wishes here, I'll make certain they get forwarded as a kind
of group message to Hal. I know he appreciates how much people are
thinking of him at this terrible time.
I posted my own memories of Dixie at the newspaper web site this
weekend. It was in way of a tribute, drawing on conversations over the
years:

It comes nowhere close to doing her justice. That's quite impossible.
But I'd like to share this with the Forum because she was, in all ways,
a class act.
Best to you all,
Mark
