Just a couple of short reviews, one with an interesting mis-naming of
Sam.
Reviews of the Delaware, OH show February 10, 1885

Delaware Herald, February 12, 1885:
Mark Twain and Cable.
Mark Twain (L.S. Clemens) [sic] and Geo. W. Cable, were greeted with a
fine audience on their appearance at the City Opera House, on Tuesday
evening. The highest expectation of the audience was realized. The
impersonations by Mr. Cable were real, and true to subjects; not
overdrawn in dialect and manner as is too often the case. Mr. Clemens
impresses an audience as Mark Twain impresses the reader—the same
character is presented in both instances. The entertainment was good.
Delaware Daily Chronicle, February 11, 1885
The entertainment given at the Opera-house last night by Mark Twain and
George. W. Cable was well attended, notwithstanding the cold weather,
and was highly pleasing to those presents.
