Fellow Twainiacs ---
Happy New Year and so on and so forth, etc., etc. etc.
I have an inquiry, and any help would be appreciated.
One of our reporters heard that a young woman, a Miss Coe, of Meriden,
Conn., had a correspondence or even a possible courtship with SLC.
There's allegedly a cache of letters from Sam to this young lady -- it
would have to have been before 1867, I told him; once Sam, saw Livy, that
was
it. Steve (the reporter) is trying to get details. If all is true, this
could be
quite a find.
I gave him some resources, but any further help would be deeply
appreciated.
Thanks in advance --
Kathy O'Connell
