Presented by Pluto Press and the Australian Fabian Society, this is the
first of a new series of seminars examining new ideas and policies for
government. Speakers will include Eva Cox, contributor to Labor Essays
2001, For the People, Frank Stilwell, author of Changing Track: A New
Political Economic Direction for Australia, and Steve Keen, author of
Debunking Economics: The Naked Emperor of the Social Sciences.

The seminar is a pre-launch event for the book 'Debunking Economics', which
takes an HET approach to both explaining and critiquing neoclassical
economics. The author will be outlining the argument of the book, as well as
detailing some newly developed critiques of the model of perfect competition.
The seminar may be of interest to HES members based in Sydney.
