Pepys was a favorite of Twain, so I wonder if Rev Crane had asked Twain
about his favorite books or authors, or perhaps asked Twain to suggest a
reading list.

BB suggests Big Bonanza, the book by Twain's friend Dan DeQuille, for which
T wrote a brief intro. A glance through Gribben might suggest authors or
book titles with the intitials BB.

Did Rev Crane ever publish anything that might provide the answer? A
magazine article on good reading, perhaps?
