Espritruth Films is entering the production phase of a new three-hour
documentary biography about Samuel Clemens being produced for airing on
primetime PBS. Research and scripting has been funded by the National
Endowment
for the Humanities, which is also providing major support for the start of
production.
The voices of Mark Twain, his family members and contemporaries, play a
central
role in the series. We are currently gathering audition tapes (audio or
video)
from actors and impersonators, famous and yet-to-be-discovered for these
many
players including Clemens himself. If you are interested or know someone who
would be interested, please send your tapes to us at: SAM CLEMENS AND MARK
TWAIN, 9400 Kendale Road, Potomac, MD 20854.
You can email us directly at [log in to unmask] Please don't clutter
the
Forum with inquiries to us; because we're in the production phase, we
sometimes
can't retrieve the Mark Twain Forum Digest for several weeks at a time. We
do,
however, check our email.
Thanks for the interest.
