The fall issue of Bancroftiana, the newsletter of the Bancroft Library, has
a lead article by Robert Hirst on the acquisition of Col. Denny's journal
of the Quaker City cruise, which paints a different picture of the cruise.
Bob Hirst's article is excellent and will be of interest to anyone studying
Innocents Abroad. I'm on the mailing list because I contribute to the Mark
Twain Papers, which we all should do! (IMHO, YMMV, LSMFT)
